At Borderlands Resource Initiative, we're a growing community dedicated to transforming the lives of asylum seekers and migrants through justice, empowerment, and compassion. We're looking for someone who shares our passion for building supportive, creative environments to join us on this journey. This position offers an annual salary of $42,500, with funding currently allocated for 20 hours per week. As our organization grows, the opportunity to expand this role to full-time may arise.

What You Will Be Doing
You’ll be at the heart of our organization's evolution, designing the systems and processes that make our workplace thrive. Your creativity and commitment will drive the success of our people-centered culture, where flexible work, personal growth, and empowerment are paramount. • Build a visionary HR framework that supports equitable hiring, onboarding, and growth of our team members.
• Design and implement resources that help our team flourish, from professional development plans to supportive HR policies.
• Craft and oversee a benefits package that fosters a healthy work-life balance, including unlimited planned paid time off, hybrid work options, and empowering self-direction for all team members.
You Need These Qualifications
• You have experience creating equitable and healthy work environments that reflect the values of inclusion and justice.
• You are knowledgeable in Arizona and federal labor laws and understand compliance regulations within nonprofit sectors.
• You’ve worked within non-profit environments and understand the unique challenges and needs of mission-driven organizations.
• You have experience managing talent development, including recruitment, performance management, and professional growth plans.
• You are adept at change management, helping organizations grow sustainably while maintaining a positive workplace culture.
It Would Be Nice If...
• You are familiar with Holacracy, Sociocracy, or other horizontal leadership models, and you bring a collaborative spirit to team dynamics.
• You have experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, supporting diverse teams and creating inclusive policies.
• You are bilingual in English and Spanish, ready to support our diverse team and the communities we serve.
• You have experience with HR technologies, such as HRIS platforms, for streamlining workflows and data management.
