Information Team

$65,000

At Borderlands Resource Initiative, we rely on technology to support our team’s work advocating for migrants and asylum seekers. We’re looking for an Information & Technology Coordinator to support our technological needs, ensuring our systems run smoothly so that our team can focus on our mission. Your role will be critical in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting the technology that powers our work.

Why We Need You

This role will directly support the technological needs of the Borderlands Resource Initiative team. Your work will help streamline the tools we use to collaborate, communicate, and manage our projects, allowing our staff to be as effective as possible. Without you, the technology that powers our operations may lag behind, delaying critical work.

What You Will Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all IT systems within our organization. You’ll troubleshoot issues, maintain equipment, and help implement new technology solutions as needed. Your responsibilities include:
• Setting up and maintaining hardware and software systems for our team.
• Troubleshooting technical issues to ensure our systems run smoothly.
• Managing IT infrastructure to support hybrid and remote work environments.
• Working closely with the team to understand and fulfill their IT needs efficiently.

You Need These Qualifications

• You have experience in IT support and troubleshooting, including installing and maintaining hardware and software systems.
• You have proficiency in network administration and understand how to manage server and cloud-based systems.
• You are skilled in security protocols, ensuring data privacy and protecting our systems from potential threats.
• You have experience working with multiple operating systems, including Windows and macOS.
• You are capable of managing IT resources for hybrid and remote work environments.

It Would Be Nice If...

• You have experience working in nonprofit organizations, understanding the unique tech needs of mission-driven work.
• You’ve worked in shelter environments and have a practical understanding of their technological needs.
• You are bilingual in English and Spanish, which will help you communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
