The AQUI Legal Clinic is a frontline effort to provide dignified, culturally competent, and community-centered legal support for asylum seekers and immigrants navigating a complex and often hostile immigration system.
In partnership with Phoenix Legal Action Network (PLAN) and Puente Human Rights Movement, we are not just providing services- we are co-creating pathways to safety, stability, and justice.
“AQUI,” meaning “here” in Spanish, reflects our core belief: that every person deserves support, advocacy, and belonging- right here, right now.

What We Do
The AQUI Legal Clinic offers free legal services for people seeking asylum, humanitarian relief, or facing deportation. We work in deep collaboration with directly impacted individuals and local partners to ensure that our approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and responsive to the lived realities at the border.
Our services include:

Asylum & Deportation Defense- Legal screenings, pro se support, and free consultation with immigration attorneys when capacity allows.

Know Your Rights- Community-based legal education for individuals, families, and service providers.

Rapid Response Support – In coordination with movement partners, we mobilize legal resources during enforcement actions, detentions, and border policy shifts.

Legal Navigation & Referrals – We help individuals understand their options and connect them to trusted immigration attorneys and community-based organizations.
